We process personal data only to the extent necessary to provide a functional website and our free calculators. We process data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR/DSGVO) and the German Bundesdatenschutzgesetz (BDSG).

3.1 Calculator usage data

When you use our free calculators (mortgage, closing costs, rental yield, depreciation, rent brake), we collect anonymous usage data to understand how the tools are used and to improve them. This includes the values you enter into the calculators and the calculated results.

  • Data collected: Calculator type, input values (e.g. purchase price, interest rate, selected German state), calculated results, language preference
  • Purpose: Product improvement and understanding which features are most valuable
  • Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in improving our tools)

Calculator inputs do not include personally identifiable information. No names, addresses, or financial account details are collected.

4.1 PostHog

We use PostHog for website analytics and product usage tracking. PostHog is hosted in the European Union (EU) at eu.i.posthog.com. PostHog collects:

  • Pages visited and interaction events
  • Calculator usage data (as described in Section 3.1)
  • Device type, browser, operating system
  • Approximate location (derived from IP address, which is anonymised)

PostHog is configured in "identified_only" mode, meaning anonymous visitors are not assigned persistent person profiles.

5.1 Tawk.to live chat

We use the live chat service Tawk.to to answer visitor enquiries directly on the website. When you load a page, the chat widget is loaded from Tawk.to's servers, establishing a connection between your browser and Tawk.to. This processes technical connection data (in particular your IP address) and chat content (when you actively use the chat).

This website loads typefaces (DM Sans, Space Grotesk) from Google Fonts, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited. When you visit a page, your browser establishes a connection to Google's servers to download the font files. This transmits your IP address to Google.
